CAPE COD LARPING
Chronicling the Cape’s bravest Resistance cosplayers.
Live Action Role Play for people who skipped the reading
Somewhere on this peninsula, on a Saturday morning, a group of grown adults will assemble on a highway overpass with cardboard signs to defeat a tyrant who is not present, in a republic that specifically guarantees them the right to do it, and then adjourn to brunch by eleven.
This is a tabletop game. The winning move is to feel the most, the campaign is built so that it can never be completed, and the party has confused the character sheet for a résumé. We cover it accordingly: the builds, the loot, the side quests, and the boss nobody ever fights.
The guild has held the same overpass since 2017. In that time nobody has been promoted, nobody has been defeated, and nobody has been asked to name their state representative. Attendance is excellent.
Roll for initiative.
Latest Engagements
Recent field activity. The standing order has not changed since 2017, so neither has the footage.
The Campaign, Explained
Every LARP has a rulebook. This one just never admits it.

| The game element | What it actually is |
|---|---|
| The Campaign | “Saving Democracy” — an epic quest against the Bad Orange Man, who keeps inconveniently winning elections |
| The Dungeon Master | A national advocacy nonprofit whose donors are legally undisclosed. It ships the module, the scripts, the toolkits. The players believe they are improvising. |
| The Party | The local chapter — a guild that looks organized because somebody else did the organizing |
| Primary stat | FEELINGS — 20. Rolled with advantage, always. |
| Dump stat | Bills Read — 0. The stat you put nothing into, because you have worked out you will never be asked to roll against it. |
| XP and loot | Likes. Small-dollar receipts. A good spot on the overpass. |
| The raid | An overpass. On a Saturday. Then brunch. |
| Side quests | Postcards mailed to states nobody in the party can vote in |
| The boss they never fight | The actual legislature, where actual bills are actually voted on |
The Campaign Sourcebooks
The Campaign Log
What your delegation actually voted on this week, set beside what the guild did instead. Real bills. Real roll calls. One overpass, two kayaks, and a feeling.
Character Sheets
Every chapter fields the same six people. The Postcard Paladin. The Overpass Bard. The Pronoun Cleric. Rolled once in 2017 and never re-rolled.
Meet Your Dungeon Master
Your spontaneous grassroots uprising has a national headquarters, a style guide, a livestream schedule, and a donor list you are not allowed to see.
